That patient smile you get when you speak Spanish to someone who understands what you are trying to say even though the words don’t quite make sense

Sneaking on the roof of hostels, playing futbol with 10 year olds and almost winning, spinning kids around in the air (I always get stuck doing that), singing and dancing, speaking in front of groups of people, pretending to know what I am doing
Group games- apples to apples, scattergories, pictionary, outburst, etc.
Listening, guiding
Being disorganized but still getting everything done
Facebook stalking, basketball games, smiling
the guitar
music, writing, words, beauty
Walking everywhere, eating with the people I love, slowing down, not worrying and giving it to God
Thinking and questioning, praying
Hard work, school – yes, I like school
Mooching food off my friends and boyfriend
Remembering everywhere God has taken me and the people I cannot forget
